Sukhothai Airport
Located in Amphor Sawankhalok, about 60 kms from the city. It's one of the the most beautiful airports in Thailand. No bus passes this airport, so prepare to call hotel or your friends to pick you up while looking around the airport.

 

 

Sukhothai Bus Terminal

Sukhothai Bus Terminal
The new bus terminal is on bypass road. Around 5 kms from the city. All of coaches and local buses have to stop here. Lots of Tuk Tuks 're waitting for you. Don't be afraid to refuse them because they 're very very persistent .

 

 

How to come to Sukhothai

BY TRAIN Trains leave Bangkok's Hualampong Station to Phitsanulok (Tel: 223-3762 for further details) several times daily. Then take a local bus to Sukhothai

BY AIR Thai Airways operates daily flights from Bangkok to Phitsanulok (Tel: Bangkok 628-2000 or 280-0060 for details). Bangkok Airways connects Bangkok directly with Sukhothai (Tel: Bangkok 229- 3434, 229-3456, 535-2429 or 535-3756 for further details).

BY CAR Take route No. 101 from Bangkok to Sukhothai, about 440 kms. Or Take route No. 1 , then go to route No. 32 pass Ayutthaya, Nakhon Sawan, Then take route No.112 to Phitsanulok after that take route No 12 to Sukhothai.

Getting Around Sukhothai

Very convenient and cheap, Around 15 Baht form Muang Sukhothai to the old city. Open air bus, so you can see, local life along the way. No bus stop, you can hop on and off any where you like.

Great experience with this awesome vehicle, a bit noise but fast and you can talk with the driver. Remember, they are so persistent to invite you to take them.

Motor Bike For RentMotobike for hire
Driver's license and helmet needed,motorbikes can be rented in several shops around Historical Park. At 150 baht per day, it is an economical and relaxed way to see people life. Becareful !!! lots of dogs crossing the road.
Bicycle For HireBicycle for hire
A lot fo bicycle shops in the city. If you enjoy exercising, rent it for a day, Sukhothai historical site is only 12 kms away from the city.
