| The Royal Palace Located in the middle of the old city and covers an area about one fourth of the area of the town within the walls. Near the palace, there is a palace temple, called Wat mahathat. It is Sukhothai's largest temple and has a customary main Chedi in lotus-bud shape and giant buddha.

| King Ramkhamhaeng, the Great Statue Phor Khun Ramkhamhaeng was the third king of the Phra Ruang dynasty from 1277 to 1317, during its most prosperous period. The statue is very sacred, so everyone visitting here has to make a wish for his prosperity.

| Ramkhamhaeng National Museum The museum exhibited about history of Sukhothai: the past to the present. There are about 1,500 objects shown in the hall and 6,900 objects in the store. Open daily from 9.00-16.00. 10 Baht for Thai and 30 Baht for foreigners.

|  | Wat Si Chum A square Mondop is the main sanctuary.There is a passageway in the left inner wall leading to the crossbeam above that you can walk around behind the buddha. The buddha image, called Phra Achana, is the most attractive place in historical park.
| | |  | Wat Chang Lom The most prominent characteristic of this temple is a 3-tiered square base with a platform decorated with a row of elephants seen by their front halves supporting the round bell-shaped chedi.
| | |  | Wat Saphan Hin Meaning the temple of t he stone bridge. It located on top of a high hill, this temple offers panoramic views over Sukhothai Historical Park.
| | |  | Wat Traphang Thong Lang This temple has its remarkable stucco relief on the side. The flat relief on the southern side is the best of its type in Sukhothai style. It shows Buddha, striding over steps, coming down from heaven.

| Ramkhamhaeng National Park (Khao Luang) This place is a great combination of natural attractions and historical sites. Khao Luang has several beautiful waterfalls, caves and the variety of rare flora and plants. Tents are available for overnight stay.
